Thanksgiving Dinner 2009

Voice of Hope was excited to welcome 86 families to our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner; the total attendance was over 330. This year was an amazing year as we had 75 volunteers from partnering organizations come out to host our families for food & fellowship. While dining with a meal of baked chicken, potatoes and veggies our families were able to meet new people from across the Dallas County and experience the love of God.

We would like to send a special thank you to our volunteers and partners:

We would like to thank everyone for their hard work and service. We collected 133 turkeys & hams for our West Dallas Community and we will continue to distribute Thanksgiving blessings to our families and communities throughout the week.

Voice of Hope & A.C.T. host first Free Will Clinic

Voice of Hope will be hosting our first ever Will Clinic for West Dallas residents. We have teamed up with Reid Porter & A.C.T. to bring over 10 professional lawyers to West Dallas on Saturday, November 7, 2009, to offer FREE services to our community. This will be an amazing opportunity for the residents of West Dallas to receive free legal counseling and assisting in creating their wills. Annual Fall Festival @ Voice of Hope

We are kicking off the fall season once again with our Annual Fall Festival. We have partnered with Watermark Community Church to bring an amazing family event to West Dallas and help to kick off fall! This is a family event for the children of our program and neighboring schools and organizations. We will have food, games, crafts, prizes, entertainment and much more! If you would like more information about this event please email: volunteer@voiceofhope.org.

ASPIRE has begun!

On August 31, 2009, we opened our after school doors to 300 West Dallas students. Our ASPIRE program gives students, grades Pre-K through 12th, a safe & fun place to go after school. Students receive help with homework, reading skills, enjoy a hot meal, and have time to interact with friends in a positive environment. We welcome students from DISD, IISD, West Dallas Community School and Focus Learning Academy to come and share in on the fun Monday - Thursday. On Fridays we take a break from studying to enjoy an afternoon of fellowship with our weekly Bible Club. We invite your support of our ASPIRE program, helping to change lives...one child at a timesm, by becoming a Volunteer or by joining our Circle of Friends. For more information you can send an email to: voh@voiceofhope.org.
