Friday Parents' Bible Study Growing in April 2011

The Parents' Bible Study, held every Friday in Spanish, is onthe uptick - we now have more than 12 regular attenders (up from only 2 at it's inception in 2010. Many of these ladies (we have yet to have any men regularly attend) received new Bibles from the PCPC Beyond Ourselves outreach earlier this year (see below.) Those who did get the Bibles are faithfully bringing them to the study each Friday.

The Friday Parents' Bible Study is hosted through the Family and Community Services outreach.

Evangelism Outreach with Westside Baptist Church and PCPC Beyond Ourselves

One of our faithful supporting churches, Westside Baptist Church, joined us on March 5th for door-to-door evangelism and prayer. They were able to deliver food baskets, share the Gospel and pray with 25 families in West Dallas. Westside Baptist has been faithfully coming once a quarter for over 4 years to evangelize and minister.

Another faithful church, Park Cities Presbyterian Church, held their Beyond Ourselves outreach event on February 26th. Voice of Hope Minsitries was one of several organizations in the Dallas area that was a beneficiary of the outreach. PCPC members came to deliver food baskets, Bibles, and general hygeine items; some of the volunteers also helped wash our vehicles.

Thank you Westside Baptist and PCPC for your partnership and service. You have been a blessing to many families.

This past February 11th, one of our ASPIRE after school "coaches" (our term for classroom mentors) reported that 10 1st graders accepted Christ for the first time! Please continue to pray for our students as they grow, not only physically, but spiritually as well.
