ASPIRE
Welcome to the Voice of Hope After School Program!
Parent Testimonial
"We have enjoyed having our boys in the ASPIRE After School Program at Grand Prairie for more reasons than we can mention. The added security for a working parent of knowing your children are under the care of mature staff who will treat them like their own children or grandchildren is priceless. Besides the tutoring help with the "big college kids" , I know they love the meals and goodies. They truly enjoy the projects and having something tangible to do while waiting for parents. Luke this morning said he was looking forward to finishing his painting project! This program is packed with activities, well structured, and definitely not a babysitting service."
IMPACT
of ASPIRE
Our ASPIRE After School Program is a state-licensed afterschool program that serves students and families daily. The program runs from August through May following a typical school calendar and serves students from the end of their regular school day until 6:30pm (Monday through Friday). The program helps to meet the needs of our students in a holistic way: we provide daily meals, homework assistance, academic extension + intervention, Biblical curriculum, physical activities, themed programs, and more. All programs are engaging, educationally enriching, and spiritually uplifting, while providing students opportunities for equitable success and social emotional development with peers.
Prior to COVID-19: ASPIRE has served 350 scholars daily at two program sites: Uplift Grand Elementary (Grand Prairie, Texas) and John W. Carpenter Elementary (Oak Cliff). We have implemented a Tutor Plus program to continue meeting needs in a safe way.
