Greetings to all our Voice of Hope friends and family,
We thank God for His blessings, even in the midst of challenging times, because we know He is faithful to carry us through every trial. The Lord is still on the throne, and we will praise Him and thank Him in all things, because in Him our Hope is never diminished.
As you know, Voice of Hope serves school-aged children and youth and their families in under-resourced communities, and in times like these, when our country faces strain on its health and economic system, it is communities like those we serve that are often hardest hit. As schools are unexpectedly closed for an extended period of time and we are adjusting our programming to comply with the social distancing recommendations in our community, know that Voice of Hope is still committed to doing all we can to help families in need in West Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Desoto, and wherever else we have opportunity to help.
As a result of schools closing temporarily and possibly the remainder of the school year to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus and due to a variety of job sectors losing valuable hours of work due to social distancing, there will be many families in need of basic food items and supplies that they may not have access to over the next couple of weeks and months.
YOU CAN HELP by giving to Voice of Hope directly towards our COVID-19 Family Emergency Fund to assist us in providing for food and basic needs for the kids and families we serve. We anticipate we will be experiencing high demand for financial, material, emotional and spiritual support for our families for months to come – now is the time to be the hands and feet of Christ and participate on behalf of others in need. In addition, please prayerfully consider a general operating gift in support of Voice of Hope during these unprecedented and challenging times, so we can continue as a ministry to be best equipped for service to our community and the greater Dallas area. In times like these, we all have an opportunity to share love with each other, not just in our own neighborhoods, with our own families, friends, and co-workers, but throughout the city of Dallas, North Texas, our country, and our world.
Lastly, and most importantly, please, please pray and ask God to outstretch his hand to heal our land.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9, NIV)
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26, NIV)
Thanks so very much,
