Dr. Kevin Norvell: Leading with Vision, Faith, and a Heart for Community
Please welcome and join with us to celebrate the Lord’s gracious leadership to bring Dr. Kevin A. Norvell to lead Voice of Hope into the next chapter of ministry and service to the children and families in West Dallas!
Dr. Kevin Norvell brings over 20 years of educational leadership, curriculum innovation, and student mentorship as the CEO and President of Voice of Hope Ministries (VOH). With a Doctorate in Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce and degrees in Basic Bible, Biblical Counseling, Organizational Management, and a Masters in Training and Development, Dr. Norvell’s expertise and dedication have consistently inspired those around him.
A devoted family man, Dr. Norvell finds strength and encouragement from his wife, Paula, their five adult children, and ten grandchildren. Grounded in faith and driven by a mission to serve children in under-resourced communities, Dr. Norvell is passionate about sharing the transformative power of Christ. His leadership philosophy is centered on empowering others through teaching, mentorship, and unwavering spiritual guidance.
Currently, Dr. Norvell serves as moderator of the Dallas Regional Missionary Baptist District Association, providing vital support to pastors and their congregations. In addition, he continues to shepherd the Redeemer MBC-Lancaster community as Senior Pastor, bringing over two decades of pastoral care and dynamic leadership to his ministry.
Dr. Norvell knows Voice of Hope well having served in the role of Director of Programs over a period of six years. He brings a clear vision for VOH—rooted in faith, centered on teaching, while blending a shepherd’s heart with the fervor of one “crying out in the wilderness: ‘The Kingdom of God is at hand!’”
Dr. Norvell’s excitement is contagious and exemplified in his leadership and commitment to nurturing and making each child’s experience one of spiritual growth, character development, and personal discovery. As Dr. Norvell leads Voice of Hope into this new season, he humbly asks for your prayers — prayers for guidance, provision, and for the joy of seeing children’s lives transformed.
